Deputy Voter Registrars Needed

Are you a Deputy Voter Registrar? We need you!

We are looking to help register new voters on Sunday, September 13 on the Navigation Esplanade between 10 am and 2 pm. If you’re already a deputy registrar, please join us for this important opportunity to help register East End residents to vote. Contact Bolivar Fraga, Ripley House Neighborhood Centers, Inc. at 713-315-6403 to participate.

If you’d like to become a Deputy Registrar, training sessions are brief and free of charge and are offered by Harris County.

East End Improvement Corporation (EEIC)Â and Wells Fargo unveiled the first of seven BCycle â€œArt Stationsâ€ as part of a community program to connect residents and visitors to public art and businesses in East End Houston. The unveiling ceremony included the donation of 36 bicycles and helmets to East End students in coordination with local non-profit Wellness On Wheels (WOW).Â

Small Places Transitions to a 501(c)(3) as its East End Urban Farm, Finca Tres Robles, Pauses Field Operations to Prepare for Move to Long-Sought Permanent Home

longest-serving urban farms, Finca Tres Robles, is getting ready for some big changes in the year ahead. Umbrella organization Small Places is transitioning to a 501(c)(3) to help revamp the farm and increase its impact in serving the East End community. In the months ahead, Finca Tres Robles will be celebrating 7.5 years of work in the East End as it pauses field operations at the end of 2021 to prepare for its next chapter.
