The Houston Rodeo Run Tradition Continues! Runners, walkers, families and friends of all ages are invited to participate in the 31st Annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The race kicks off the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade.
This tradition, which raises scholarship funds for Texas youth, will once again lead the Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM (HLSR) Parade past thousands of cheering spectators in downtown Houston.
Every year, the run donates the participants’ entry fees to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Educational Fund. Since 1988, the run has contributed more than $4.8 million to the Show, providing college scholarships to Texas high school students.
Race Course: The race starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park for the post-race party. Complete course map coming soon!
Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to participate in the 10K race or 5K run/walk. HLSR parade spectators will cheer on the ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run participants as they head to the finish line. As a continued ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run tradition, the family-friendly event will feature quality entertainment and a Texas-size post-race party.
There’s also a Sleep-In option! Can’t make it to the event? You can participate as a virtual runner and still receive an official event T-shirt! Support the cause without breaking a sweat.
The first event begins at 9:10 a.m. at the intersection of Walker and Bagby and finishes with a post-race party on Allen Parkway.
This year’s post-race party will include live music, plenty of food, prize giveaways and fun for all ages.
Runners and walkers can register here. Registration is $30 until January 15 and $35 thereafter.
