SUMMARY:Big Walls Big Dreams Fall 2026
DESCRIPTION:Big Walls Big Dreams is back for its fifth Houston edition\, Oct. 30 through Nov. 15\, 2026. For two and a half weeks\, local\, national and international muralists will paint more than 20 new large-scale murals in neighborhoods across Houston. Come watch them work\, meet the artists and see the walls come together.\nThe festival opens Saturday\, Oct. 31 at East Aldine’s Día de los Muertos celebration. East Aldine Management District is this year’s premier sponsor.\nNew this year is Big Walls Mural Quest\, a citywide scavenger hunt that runs during the festival. Find the murals\, scan the codes at select walls and you could win prizes. The festival also brings the launch of a new app for finding murals around Houston.\nBig Walls Big Dreams started in Miami during Art Basel and came to Houston in 2021. Since 2013\, the festival has produced 350 murals in Miami and Houston with more than 150 national and international artists. It’s produced by UP Art Studio\, a mural studio in Houston’s East End.\nAll festival events are free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:NINE is an interactive R&B night that combines music\, art\, and storytelling. JET is on piano\, bass\, sax\, and drums building up a curated selection of 9 babymakin’ songs. Think Marvin Gaye\, Jodeci\, Ginuwine\, Usher\, Chris Brown\, Jill Scott\, Erykah Badu\, Jhené Aiko\, Summer Walker and more. In between songs\, special interludes tell the story of two people bonding over a mixtape called BABYMAKER. Will they get together? Or will they drift apart? Listen to the whole show to find out.\nThe NINE zine comes with VIP tickets and gives the story a visual. It’s illustrated by @ukelaylie and provides art that follows the storyline. It’s also your ticket to winning free drinks throughout the night. That is\, IF you know your R&B and can fill in the names of the songs JET is playing!\nThe Mood Room is serving up good vibes\, craft cocktails\, and mocktails or alternative drinks for sober guests. Conversation cards on every table take your date to another level.\nSeated tables are limited. Early reservations are encouraged.\nDoors open at 8 PM. Performance begins at 9 PM.
