DESCRIPTION:From June 15 to August 18\, 2024 Please join TXRX Labs in the Techne Gallery for a talented membership showcase of our woodworking community.\nObjects will include furniture\, Maloof inspired chairs\, hand turned bowls\, cutting boards and decorative inlay applications through VCarve\, CNC work\, live edge work\, wood turning and various hand finishing techniques.\nCome opening weekend to engage directly with the craftsmen behind the creations to learn more about woodworking processes and their lifestyle insights\, inspirations and techniques. Stay to explore further collaborative opportunities with the artisans and fellow members.\nSelect pieces will be available for purchase\, providing an opportunity to bring home a piece of our vibrant community’s artistic expression.\nEvent Opening : Saturday June 15th 10am-3pm\nArtist Talks will be scheduled on our open house days\, given the 1st Friday of each month. Dive deeper into the world of woodworking by learning about our state-of-the-art tools and equipment\, enrolling in offered classes\, and tapping into the expertise of our dedicated shop manager and skilled volunteers with 30+ years of experience. When you do find us\, the facility has a brightly colored mural of orange\, blue and gray squares on it. TXRX Lab’s front door is to the left of the loading docks.\nGallery hours : Mon-Fri 12-8 pm. DESCRIPTION:No Italian? No problem! In our online Italian for Beginners – A1S1 class\, you will learn everyday words and phrases to help you speak Italian with confidence. Our dedicated Italian teachers will help you establish strong foundations in the Italian language\, focusing on proper pronunciation\, basic grammar\, and useful vocabulary. Learn Italian quickly and join our wonderful community here at the Italian Language School.\nDates: Tuesdays\, August 6 through September 17\, 2024\nTime: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.\nLocation: Online via Zoom\nPrice: $247.50 ICCC Members | $275 General Admission\nMaterials: We will use the book Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano 1A for this course. It is available to purchase at the Italian Cultural & Community Center for $30\, with shipping options available at an additional cost.\nNote: It takes about a year to go from a complete beginner level to an intermediate level. This Italian for Beginners – A1S1 course is the first in a series designed to reach the intermediate level in seven\, seven-week sessions for a total of 49 weeks instruction. After the first seven-week session\, tuition rates drop to $225 for ICCC members and $250 for Gerneral Admission.\nCancellation Policy: Due to high demand for courses\, tuition is non-refundable. We offer tuition credit toward a future group class if you cancel 48 hours in advance of the start of the first class. Tuition credit is valid for six months from the date issued. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance\, your tuition payment will be converted into a tax-deductible donation to the Italian Cultural & Community Center. No credits or refunds will be given to students who miss a portion of the class.
