DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the completion of Lockwood on Buffalo Bayou\, a new affordable housing development nestled within green space in the vibrant East End community.\nThis community celebration will feature a ribbon cutting and remarks from:\nGaynell Floyd Drexler\, Buffalo Bayou Partnership Board Chair\nMario Castillo\, Houston City Council Member\nMike Nichols\, City of Houston Director of Housing and Community Development\nRich Sciortino\, Brinshore\, national affordable housing developer and partner in the Lockwood on Buffalo Bayou project\nFriends and neighbors will gather for a day of music\, food\, lawn games\, giveaways\, and plenty of fun! Don’t miss out on art tours by the talented artist Gerardo Rosales and the vibrant beats of DJ Gracie Chavez. Plus\, the Milby High School Marching Band will deliver a special performance. Enjoy activities for all ages from lawn games to face painting. Be sure to grab a bite from food trucks – Boom Box Tacos and Paleta Cart – providing free lunches while supplies last.
