DESCRIPTION:A decade of color\, creativity\, and collaboration comes to life this fall as Big Walls Big Dreams marks its 10th anniversary in Houston. From October 24 through November 2\, 2025\, the citywide mural festival returns with a bold\, focused format – 10 murals by 10 artists in 10 days – celebrating ten years of artistic evolution.\nLaunched during Art Basel Miami in 2015\, Big Walls Big Dreams has grown from a small creative experiment into one of America’s longest-running mural festivals. Produced by UP Art Studio\, the festival has transformed blank walls into cultural landmarks — expanding from its Miami origins to its second home in Houston and preparing to launch its next chapter in Hawaii in 2026.\nThis milestone year also debuts a refreshed Big Walls Big Dreams visual identity\, developed with Houston designer Mario Jaramillo of Robot Agency\, signaling a new decade of creativity\, connection\, and evolution.\nThe 2025 edition features ten mostly local artists\, each bringing a distinct voice and vision to walls across the city. Their works span realism\, abstraction\, graffiti\, and design — together reflecting the creative energy that defines Houston’s art scene.

SUMMARY:October 24 – November 22\, 2025 Exhibitions
DESCRIPTION:Box 13 ArtSpace is pleased to present\, “Snap It Up” by artist Mitchell Reece at Front Box Gallery reimagines family memory through paintings\, artifacts\, and archival materials inspired by the artist’s grandmother’s journey with Alzheimer’s. Blending discovery\, faith\, and Black familial resilience\, the exhibition transforms domestic space into a sacred timeline of intimate histories and collective strength. Back BOX gallery PrintHouston is pleased to announce “PressForward 2025”\, a national student printmaking exhibition to be held at BOX 13. Juried by J. Leigh Garcia. There will be exceptional works from current student printmakers that explore the wide range of traditional and innovative printmaking processes. Next we have “Map of the World (Blinds)” fills BOX13’s window gallery with small paper pulp shapes and standing wood sculptures that feature repeated motifs like spirals\, crescent moons\, and stars. Through representing images related to the cosmos\, these multimedia works explore an entity that is unable to be touched or held. The objects are small and textural in nature\, creating tender and tactile representations of a grandiose concept. Moving upstairs “IT’S B*LLSHIT!!” is a critique of our inadequate system that aims to keep our diverse communities silenced and indifferent towards adversity. Sirena Nieves’s collection of curious sculptures can be located in the upper box\, at Box13.\nThe exhibitions continue through November 22\, 2025. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday Friday October 23\, 2025 6pm to 9pm at BOX 13 ArtSpace\, 6700 Harrisburg\, Houston\, TX 77011.\nA special thank you to Houston Arts Alliance \, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs\, The Brown Foundation Saint Arnold Brewing and all who have helped to support our programing.
