Epicurean Express

EaDo, East Downtown Houston, Old Chinatown – regardless of what locals call it, the neighborhood is continuing to gain traction in the urban-living and entertainment front. Anthony Wegmann-owner of nearby nightlife mainstays Lucky’s Pub and Corksoakers-and co-owner Tharen Simpson have teamed up to add a much-needed grocery store to the area: Epicurean Express.

Strategically positioned across the street from the Lofts at the Ballpark, Epicurean Express brings the district a much-needed 3,500-square-foot market offering a mix of fresh produce, dry goods, cleaning products, wine and beer. Inside, expect polished concrete floors, wood accents and an exposed-beam ceiling that echo Epicurean Express’ eco-efforts.

Customers can also snag coffee, pastries and prepared food in the deli and coffee bar.
