Live art demonstrations, local food trucks, and a cosplay contest were just a few of the highlights of the East End Street Market's 1st Annual East End Comic Fan Festival. Vendors displayed rare and unique comic books and figurines while artists were hard at work producing comic fan art on site as well as offering one-off pieces from their portfolios.

The Houston Downtown Management District (Downtown District) kicks off the public engagement phase of Plan Downtown with the launch of My Downtown, an interactive survey and mapping tool designed by project consultant and international interdisciplinary planning and design firm Sasaki Associates. "My Downtown is an integral piece of the community engagement strategy for Plan Downtown, a new 20-year vision that will position Downtown at the forefront of Houston's advancement as a global city," said Bob Eury, Executive Director of the Downtown District. "Along with text surveys, public workshops and topical focus groups, the My Downtown survey results will provide us with indispensible insight into the ways in which people experience Downtown Houston, whether they're residents, workers or visitors."
