EAST END IS HOME. WE HAVE HISTORY HERE. AND WE WELCOME PEOPLE TO WHO WANT TO SHARE THAT WITH US.
— EAST END RESIDENT

The East End is multi-modal

If you’re a resident of the East End, you know that the options for getting around are better than most of the rest of the city. We’ve got a new set of bus routes, we have the Columbia Tap and Harrisburg trails, and the METROrail. And that’s exactly what “multi-modal” means. Ride your bike to a train stop, head the short distance to downtown and reach practically any end of the city all without a car. Few other parts of the city can say that.

Resources for Your Business

East End businesses are supported by several organizations designed to aide business development in their neighborhood. The East Downtown Management District (EADO)The East End Chamber of Commerce and the Greater East End Management District all offer support and guidance to any entity interested in setting up a business or who may be shopping for property in one of their respective jurisdictions. Please visit them on the web for more information.

There Is A Vision

The Houston-Galveston Area Council, in collaboration with the Greater East End and 5th Ward CRC, have worked to create public conversation around how the East End can create a vision for the future that is responsible and that respects the rich history of our neighborhoods and the people that call the East End home.
