Advance Notice: 2nd Annual Magnolia Park Block Party

The East End Collaborative and Magnolia Park/Pineview Place Civic Club – both community groups made up of residents, non-profit organizations, businesses, and religious organizations in Magnolia Park are working to revitalize the community. One of their main goals is to foster an environment of health and safety in the neighborhood.

To help meet that goal, they are organizing their Second Annual Dia De Los Muertos Block Party on Saturday, October 31, 2015 in conjunction with Don Carlos Mexican Restaurant at 416 76th Street. They have planned a full day of live music, dance, and other performances on the Magnolia Stage along with great food, drinks and other events focused on a health community and a health life, all while celebrating the pride in the neighborhood.

East End Improvement Corporation (EEIC)Â and Wells Fargo unveiled the first of seven BCycle â€œArt Stationsâ€ as part of a community program to connect residents and visitors to public art and businesses in East End Houston. The unveiling ceremony included the donation of 36 bicycles and helmets to East End students in coordination with local non-profit Wellness On Wheels (WOW).Â

Small Places Transitions to a 501(c)(3) as its East End Urban Farm, Finca Tres Robles, Pauses Field Operations to Prepare for Move to Long-Sought Permanent Home

longest-serving urban farms, Finca Tres Robles, is getting ready for some big changes in the year ahead. Umbrella organization Small Places is transitioning to a 501(c)(3) to help revamp the farm and increase its impact in serving the East End community. In the months ahead, Finca Tres Robles will be celebrating 7.5 years of work in the East End as it pauses field operations at the end of 2021 to prepare for its next chapter.
