Franz Rogowski delivers a heart wrenching performance as Lubo, a humble street performer in World War II-era Switzerland. When he learns that his wife has been killed in her attempt to stop the gendarmes from taking away their three small children, who, as Jenisch, have been removed from their family under the national program of re-education for “children of the road” (Hilfswerk für die Kinder der Landstrasse), Lubo sets out on an epic quest to find his children and exact his revenge.
Don’t miss LUBO, screening for one night only on Wednesday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Italian Cultural & Community Center.
This event is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
