Sources of Light Art Exhibition

September 14 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

This invitational art exhibition explores the work of 9 Houston area artists with a focus on their own personal “light” and how it translates to their work. The term “Sources of Light” in the practice of art, largely refers to where the physicality of expressed light originates, and its effect on a subject. This exhibition refers to the artist being the source of light, their personal light and process, illuminating their work from within, which, in turn, provokes a sense of connection with the viewer.
A diverse exhibition featuring abstract, semi abstract and traditional paintings, photography, ceramic art, sculpture from metal and found objects, paper quilling, glass art and encaustic works. This exhibition at Houston’s Silos Gallery 200, in the heart of the art district, showcases the work of 9 established area artists, organized and curated by Annette Palmer and Joe Haden.
