You may recall our ask last year to cast your vote to help earn a $20,000 award to the East End’s own Ingrando Park. The good news is that you listened, you voted, and thanks to your help, Ingrando Park received funding for new futsal court from a Meet Me at the Park grant. Well the great news keeps coming: the Meet Me at the Park program is back and our very own Mason Park has been nominated for its own $20,000 makeover!

The Houston Downtown Management District (Downtown District) kicks off the public engagement phase of Plan Downtown with the launch of My Downtown, an interactive survey and mapping tool designed by project consultant and international interdisciplinary planning and design firm Sasaki Associates. “My Downtown is an integral piece of the community engagement strategy for Plan Downtown, a new 20-year vision that will position Downtown at the forefront of Houston’s advancement as a global city,” said Bob Eury, Executive Director of the Downtown District. “Along with text surveys, public workshops and topical focus groups, the My Downtown survey results will provide us with indispensible insight into the ways in which people experience Downtown Houston, whether they’re residents, workers or visitors.”
