Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

Join us in helping us celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month with us! We will explore tons of different cultural experiences including crafts like learning how to make seashell necklaces. Or join us with a live performance by Dance of Asia America! There’s something for everyone here. Don’t miss out!‍‍‍
What’s Happening?‍‍
Polynesian Crafts – Seashell Necklaces: Create your own piece of island paradise with our Polynesian Crafts activity! Learn about the significance of seashells in Polynesian culture while creating a unique souvenir to treasure.
When: From 9 am to noon in the Alcove‍
Silambam Houston: Dance with us to live performances showcasing the rich heritage of traditional Chinese dances.
When: 11 am in the Brown Auditorium‍
Dance of Asian America: Join us for an enchanting day of music and live performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of traditional Chinese dances.
When: Noon and 2 pm in the Brown Auditorium‍
My Hula Hut: Join us for some music and live performance of rich culture with these traditional Polynesian dances.
When: 1 & 3 pm in the Brown Auditorium‍
Ruby’s Chinese New Year: Enjoy Ruby and her zodiac friends in a story that’s not just a celebration of the Lunar New Year but an unforgettable adventure where the spirit of the zodiac comes alive.
When: 4 pm in the Auditorium‍
