Big Walls Big Dreams is back for its fifth Houston edition, Oct. 30 through Nov. 15, 2026. For two and a half weeks, local, national and international muralists will paint more than 20 new large-scale murals in neighborhoods across Houston. Come watch them work, meet the artists and see the walls come together.
The festival opens Saturday, Oct. 31 at East Aldine’s Día de los Muertos celebration. East Aldine Management District is this year’s premier sponsor.
New this year is Big Walls Mural Quest, a citywide scavenger hunt that runs during the festival. Find the murals, scan the codes at select walls and you could win prizes. The festival also brings the launch of a new app for finding murals around Houston.
Big Walls Big Dreams started in Miami during Art Basel and came to Houston in 2021. Since 2013, the festival has produced 350 murals in Miami and Houston with more than 150 national and international artists. It’s produced by UP Art Studio, a mural studio in Houston’s East End.
