“Of Gods and Men” is a film about eight French Benedictine monks who live in harmony with their Muslim neighbors in a monastery perched in the mountains of Algeria in the 1990s. Their tranquility is shattered when an Islamic fundamentalist group kills a group foreign, sparking fear throughout the region. The escalating violence demands that the brothers face a profound dilemma: whether to remain steadfast in their commitment to their community or flee for safety.
