Celebrate National Walking Day with us by joining a special guided walk led by Bayou Preservation Association, where we’ll explore the vital role of watersheds and natural areas in our community. Get ready for an exciting field trip experience in Spring Branch!
Our walking group is dedicated to overcoming barriers in our area, from addressing park needs to clearing blight and trash dumping along our streets.
On Wednesday, April 23rd, for the first time ever, we’re marking National Walking Day Houston w2ith a memorable excursion. Meet us at the Spring Branch Community Health Center (8575 Pitner Road, Houston, TX 77080). From there, we’ll carpool to Hillendahl Library (2436 Gessner Road, Houston, TX 77080), our starting point for the guided walk.
Starting at 8:30 AM, join us for a journey through a nearby nature trail in Spring Branch, led by Morton Sager from Bayou Preservation Association. Discover the rich ecosystem of our waterways in Houston and learn about the diverse creatures that call them home. Who knows? You might even catch a glimpse of some critters in the water!
Schedule:
8:00 AM: Start at Spring Branch Community Health Center
8:30 AM: Arrive at Hillendahl Library and begin walking with Morton Sager from Bayou Preservation Association
9:15 AM: Refreshments provided on the trail (We’ll set up a table next to the trail).
