Throughline is pleased to present its fourth two-person collective member exhibition, “When You Invent the Ship, You Also Invent the Shipwreck,” with new work by artists Garland Fielder and Gabriel Martinez, opening Friday August 23, on view through September 21, 2024. Paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture address threats humanity faces and the fear they engender. These works look toward the systems that have facilitated naturally occurring and human-engineered dangers and the structures used to safeguard against them.
