Slideshow: Sunday Streets, East End Edition

Despite the rain, the East End Community came out in numbers to enjoy themselves on an empty Navigation Boulevard during Sunday’s Cigna Sunday Streets in the East End.

Cigna Sunday Streets Houston provides a family-friendly opportunity to be physically active. For four hours one Sunday a month, selected Houston streets are closed to motorized traffic allowing Houstonians to cycle, walk, run, dance and socialize in the street.

Everyone knows we like to do it big in the East End, though. In conjunction with Sunday Streets, we also hosted the very first East End Houston Cultural District Open House and partnered with BikeHouston for an East End Bicycle Mural Tour. The newly minted East End Street Market was also open for the community to shop local wares and produce as it is every Sunday.
