Our Music, More Than a Language: East End Movie Nights!
From March to June, we invite you to be part of Movie Nights in the East End! This event is a celebration of the musical diversity of our region, entitled “Our Music, More Than a Language.” Through a selection of 16 contemporary Ibero-American films inspired by music, we want you to discover the rhythms and cultural heritage that unite us.
This film series is structured in four sections that highlight different aspects of artistic expression:
March: CREATIVE WOMEN: Dedicated to highlighting outstanding female musical creators and performers.
April: FOR DANCING: Films that celebrate dance as a vibrant form of expression.
May: LIVING STORIES: A segment of biographical films that tell us about the lives and works of musical artists.
June: ORIGINAL SOUNDS: Focused on the sounds and traditions of Indigenous American peoples.
Admission to all events is completely free and open to the public. The films include English subtitles so everyone can enjoy, and popcorn will be provided by our team. As an added bonus, we’ll be holding book giveaways every month thanks to our collaboration with Dreamers Books + Culture.
On Fridays in March, in partnership with DREAMERS BOOKS + CULTURE, we will be presenting the first four films, all dedicated to recognizing creative women in music. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore and celebrate our cultures.

Nuestra Música, más que una lengua: ¡Noches de Cine en el East End!
Desde marzo hasta junio, te invitamos a ser parte de ¡Noches de Cine en el East End! Este evento es una celebración de la diversidad musical de nuestra región, titulado “Nuestra música, más que una lengua”. A través de una selección de 16 películas ibero-americanas contemporáneas inspiradas en la música, queremos que descubras los ritmos y el patrimonio cultural que nos unen.
Este ciclo de cine está estructurado en cuatro secciones que resaltan diferentes aspectos de la expresión artística:
Marzo: MUJERES CREATIVAS: Dedicada a resaltar a creadoras e intérpretes musicales sobresalientes.
Abril: PARA BAILAR: Películas que ponen en valor la danza como una forma de expresión vibrante.
Mayo: HISTORIAS VIVAS: Un segmento de cine biográfico que nos cuenta la vida y obras de artistas musicales.
Junio: SONIDOS ORIGINALES: Enfocado en la sonoridad y tradiciones de los pueblos indígenas americanos.
La entrada a todos los eventos es completamente gratuita y abierta al público. Además, contamos con subtítulos en inglés para que todos puedan disfrutar, y las palomitas serán cortesía de nuestro equipo. Como un toque adicional, cada mes realizaremos sorteos de libros gracias a la colaboración de Dreamers Books + Culture.
Los viernes de marzo, junto a DREAMERS BOOKS + CULTURE, se presentarán las primeras cuatro películas, todas dedicadas al reconocimiento de mujeres creativas en la música. No te pierdas esta oportunidad única de explorar y celebrar nuestras culturas.
