Created to welcome fans from around the world during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the mural celebrates the history, culture, resilience, and spirit of one of Houston’s most vibrant communities. From the rail lines and industrial roots of the neighborhood to the people and traditions that make the East End unique, this project was designed as a visual gateway into both the district and the city itself.

This mural would not have been possible without the support of the East End Cultural District, the incredible apprentices and artists who helped bring it to life, the installation crew who worked tirelessly to make it a reality, and the many community members who supported the project along the way.

What began as an idea is now part of Houston’s landscape—and part of the city’s story as we prepare to welcome the world in 2026.
